We were excited to share this case study as it discusses one of our newer offerings: Eleven Energy Batteries. On our website, we recently published a blog post on these batteries, discussing why so many of our customers are now choosing them and why it is crucial that, as a reputable renewable energy company, we can supply and fit the best products on the market. In a nutshell, Energy Battery systems are a clever bit of kit that makes the most of off-peak electricity prices; they are therefore understandably very appealing to our eco-conscious customers.
Mr Jefferies contacted us to discuss installing a battery storage system that could be charged overnight and used during the day to power his home. He was not ready for a solar PV installation but saw the benefits of a battery-only setup. Before getting in touch, Mr Jefferies had researched several battery systems and had spoken with Eleven Energy, who helped model his expected energy usage. Eco Installer were excited to meet with the Eleven Energy team at our office in Witchford to learn more about their products, understand how the system operates, and review the installation process. Let’s just say we were more than a little bit impressed and were desperate to include them in our offerings immediately.
Our customer had chosen Eleven Energy Batteries for several reasons, but one stood out: instead of solar panels charging the batteries during the day (which are often added at the same time or later), they can be charged overnight using cheap-rate electricity. The stored energy is then used throughout the day, helping the homeowner avoid peak prices and stay in control. Mr Jefferies liked the sound of this, and we were thrilled to become installers of this product ourselves.
Barry carried out the installation, fitting a 6 kW Eleven Energy Hybrid inverter alongside eight 4.5 kWh batteries. And the best bit is that the installation qualified for 0% VAT.
This project was a little different from usual because it was our first-ever Eleven Energy Battery installation. It also proves that there are very few restrictions when it comes to switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy. Mr Jeffries knew exactly what he wanted, and we worked closely with him and Eleven Energy to make it a reality. Once his new garage has been built, we will be returning to complete the next stage of his renewable journey: installing a full solar PV system to work alongside his existing battery setup. We love that his family are now heading towards a greener future and that we have been part of that.
